1. SNOE Hair Heroes "Intense PM Repair" || 2. Essence Stay Natural Concealer || 3. Baby Lips Tinted || 4. Liquid Neutrogena Mild Cleanser

My first empties post yay! Or rather, Mehhh. Which basically sums up what I feel about these products. Click through to know more...

Ok. All of these are "whim" buys and I sincerely hoped they would be good enough to be a staple in my routine but alas the odds weren't in my favor.

1. Hair Heroes "Intense PM Repair" (~Php 250-299)- Sigh. I really hoped this would magically solve all my hair problems having the magic words "Argan" and "Oil" in the ingredient list (and front label) of the product. This isn't exactly cheap either for something that works as well as, watered-down baby oil.
Yes.
I went there.
I said it.

The spray bottle caught me off-guard since I wasn't used to it and I was sure this would waste some of the liquid when I use it. I don't know how much is in this bottle because surprisingly enough they didn't have it on the label.

The consistency is very light and watery which I really like. The scent (powdery coconut) at first was a bit off to me but I gradually got used to it and grew to like it as the days went on. I eventually craved for the scent on my hair. It's crazy, I felt like my hair wasn't complete without it.

I spritz 3-4 times on the ends of my hair and work it throughout. It makes it soft and gives it a slight shine and, that's really about it. It doesn't tame my frizz, which it doesn't claim to do but I really would've loved that addition.

I wouldn't label this as a dud but for a supposed miracle oil, this wasn't very impressive.

2. Essence Stay Natural Concealer (~Php 150) - Not the best concealer in my opinion but it's actually pretty good for everyday. It has a slightly creamy-liquid consistency and dries to a natural finish. I like that's it's a pen for the convenience and the "fun" factor (for me at least).

The main gripe I have with this is that if I click too much, the product keeps spilling out and sticks to the cap and everywhere else it touches, so there is definitely some wastage. Doesn't last too long too, about 2 hours max on me (heat+oil) but I don't mind that much. I've just found a better concealer now but this is a good concealer for the price. Definitely something you should try.

3. Baby Lips Tinted Version (~Php 90) - It smells really good and I like that it leaves a tint on my lips, but man does it dry it out! Weird. Final verdict : Too waxy and too hyped- up. Nivea Cherry and the other Nivea tinted one fare way better if my memory serves me right.

3. Liquid Neutrogena Mild Cleanser (~Php 120) - It's okay. Nothing major about it. It's a pretty blah cleanser. Mild yes, and I only need the usual amount for a good bubble action. Doesn't smell too strongly too and leaves my skin soft although I have had instances where it left my skin feeling a little tight. But it didn't do anything for my face. Didn't make my acne worse but didn't do anything about it either.

I hope this helped in a way and if you've tried any of the things mentioned do let me know your thoughts. What doesn't work for me might work for you and vise-versa :)

PS. Who here got the reference? Lol.

  1. the one i've tried from here is the baby lips balm, it didn't work for me also since i have really dry lips. As for the Neutrogena , I loved their Deep clean facial wash, i think that one works better against breakouts and blackheads etc since it has salicylic but you need a good moisturizer to go with it :)

  2. Oh no! I just recently bought the same Baby Lips lip balm. Is that the Baby Lips Glow? Anyway I had high expectations for Snoe products. I just hope their other skincare products really work well. :)

  6. Try virgin coconut oil on your hair, it might do some good. I have dry hair and hair fall from all the rebonding I've undergone throughout the years. My hair isn't really beautiful, but VCO helps keep it from looking like walis tambo.

  7. Thanks! I have tried Coconut milk/coconut oil infused shampoos and conditioners and I love what it does to my hair. I have yet to try actual coconut oil though :) Will look for this VCO hair oil soon!

  11. I've only tried the Snoe Intense PM Repair. I did like it when I had straight hair but not so much when I got my hair permed.

  12. I think this is just the Baby Lips glow that's like that. I haven't tried the original ones though since my experience with the Baby Lips glow is preventing me from trying it :P

  13. Really? So are you using the other one? For curly hair? I think it's in a green bottle.

  14. I used that too but when I had my naturally wavy hair. Now I have their newest one for curly hair. It's blue e. :P

  15. I was just about to purchase that Snoe Hair Hereos Intense PM Repair. Glad I read your honest review before I bought it. It's just that I've been reading a lot of raves about the snoe hair hereos but I'm always hesistant to buy it since it's soooo pricey for a local product. BTW, that Neutrogena cleanser broke me out real bad. ^_^

  17. Try the mask thing that they have in a tub. I tried in in the store and it smells absolutely wonderful and left my hair SUPER soft and smooth. I forgot the name though :P And their conditioner with argan is better "daw". Because you can use it as wash-off or leave-on conditioner. Haven't tried though.

Too bad :( What're you using now?

  18. I'm actually thinking of repurchasing it. It's good for everyday/on-the-go/emergency type of things. I just have to lay-off on the excessive clicking so I won't waste product anymore :P

  19. Whaaaaat? I am so disappointed to hear that the Baby Lips are not very moisturizing :-( Thanks for your honesty though.

  20. This "glow" version isn't moisturizing. Other people like the regular ones though so I think it's just this line. :)

  21. Ohhh I think the original Baby Lips are better, I have two from their original line! :)

  22. Thank you for this review! I almost snapped up the Hair Heroes intense PM repair too, but hesitated. I'm trying an organic Argan Oil shampoo though by another local brand, I'll share it soon :) So far so good!

And try the ZA Perfect Fit concealer! If you fit one of the three shades, i recommend getting one :)

  23. Will think about purchasing it. Am currently using a couple of lip balms one of them is organic and all-natural SUPER ADDICTIVE.

  24. I have also tried the Liquid Neutrogena Mild Cleanser and I have to agree with you. I think it was too mild for me but I love how it made my face smooth after every wash. By the way, congratulations for being chosen for Got It shop's sponsorship. I was one of the chosen bloggers as well.^___^ Followed you on GFC ♥

  26. You're welcome :)

  27. Yes! Might try their conditioner. Price is around 400 which is ridiculous but everyone, and I mean literally everyone who tries it ends up loving it so it might work out.

Will wait on that Argan Oil shampoo Shari! And I've swatched the ZA concealer, one shade lighter though, they didn't have my shades :(, and I like it!

  28. There are a number of variants for the baby lips. So the one I got "maybe" isn't the most moisturizing variant out of all. Thanks for visiting :)
